October 2, 2024

10 am to 12 pm

SHOT CLINIC at Harpeth Hills Church of Christ, room 205

Katy Chick, Pharmacist and member of our church, will come on October 2 from 10 to 12 to provide shots for anyone who wishes to receive them. She will bill your Medicare or Advantage plan.

Millions of people get sick yearly from severe illnesses like flu, COVID-19, and RSV. Vaccines are your best protection — and Medicare covers them.

If you’re 65 or older, it’s essential to stay up to date on your vaccines:

  • People 65 or older should get an updated COVID-19 vaccine. If you’ve recently had COVID-19, you can wait three months for a COVID-19 vaccine.
  • The CDC recommends that people 65 or older get one of the higher-dose flu vaccines, if available, for better protection against the flu.
  • The CDC recommends the RSV vaccine for people at increased risk ages 60–74 and those 75 or older.

Medicare drug coverage (Part D) also covers vaccines for shingles, tetanus-diphtheria-whooping cough (TDAP), and more at no cost. Talk with your doctor about which vaccines can help you stay healthy this fall and winter!
